Daily US Google search data for "sad songs" in 2025 and 2026 find no saddest weekday. The gap between the busiest and quietest day is a few percent. Monday was the least sad day in 2026 and the least sad day in 2025. On "Blue Monday", supposedly the most depressing day of the year, sad-song searches were -8% (2025) and -5% (2026) against the January average. The real sad-song spikes followed news and viral moments, not the calendar.
