Five years of weekly Google search data for "lofi" in four countries show an academic rhythm. United States interest is highest in April and lowest in June (48% gap). India peaks in February, ahead of its February–March board exams. South Korea peaks in April and dips in August. India's own lofi interest fell by about two-thirds between 2023 and 2026.

What it means

Method
- Google search interest, US, UK, India and South Korea (four separate queries), web search, weekly, past 5 years. "lofi", "lofi hip hop" and "study music" were queried together per country.
- "lofi hip hop" is left out.
- "study music" is not used for findings.
