We mapped worldwide Google interest over the past 12 months for four non-English music scenes. K-pop is the only true global export. Its top 25 countries are almost all outside Asia, led by Portugal, the United Kingdom, Romania and Mexico, and South Korea itself, where people search in Hangul, does not appear in the top 25. The other three mostly stay home or follow diasporas. Outside home regions, Bollywood leads in the UAE, Qatar and Oman. Afrobeats leads in the UK and Jamaica. Reggaeton leads in Spain, then Portugal and Italy.

What it means
Music travels, but language still shapes what people go looking for. Fans who want to try writing a track of their own can start with a kpop song generator. If you have a hook of your own, an AI song generator can turn it into a full track with vocals in a few minutes.
Method
- Google search interest, worldwide, web search, past 12 months, country maps. Each genre term was queried separately, so scores compare countries within a genre, not genres with each other.
- "Home region" is defined by us: West/East/Southern Africa for Afrobeats, South Asia plus Mauritius for Bollywood, South Korea for K-pop, Latin America and the Caribbean for reggaeton.
