Holiday playlists recycle the same songs every year. The most-searched pick is rarely the most personal one, and a personalized song built around one person's name and story is the version nobody else has. Method
- Google search volume, 40 countries (national data, no language filter), monthly Oct 2025–Sep 2026. 'Avg/mo' = mean of those 12 months. The US and UK are used here.
- Per-capita: Dec 2025 searches ÷ population (US 340m, UK 69m). Songs with fewer than 2,000 combined searches are left out.
- Per-capita figures use 2024–25 population figures (UN / national statistics), in millions.
