Some megahits are played everywhere but rarely looked up. We compared 85 songs from Spotify's all-time most-streamed list with worldwide monthly Google searches for each song, combining searches for "song + artist" and "song + lyrics". The Weeknd's "Blinding Lights" (5.65 billion streams) draws about 55,300 searches a month, or 39,600 per million daily streams. Michael Jackson's "Billie Jean" has fewer streams (3.3 billion) but draws about 974,000 searches a month, roughly 12 times more search per stream. The pattern is consistent. Background-listening hits (Calvin Harris dance tracks, The Weeknd, Harry Styles, Heat Waves) rank at the bottom. Singalong classics and karaoke staples (Gotye, CCR, Passenger, Adele, Bohemian Rhapsody) rank at the top.

- Metric: combined monthly searches divided by current daily streams, per million.
- Exclusions (65 of 150):
- titles with apostrophes, accents or punctuation (e.g. "God's Plan", "Señorita", "APT.")
- one-word titles ("Perfect", "Stay", "Sunflower", "Seven")
- songs with no "title artist" search volume
