We lined up weekly worldwide Google searches for the biggest AI-music moments since 2020 on one scale, anchored to the April 2023 "AI Drake" spike (=100). Every viral moment collapsed fast. AI Drake, the Velvet Sundown, Breaking Rust and Xania Monet each lost half their search interest within one or two weeks. Ongoing searches for the tool itself are a different story. Suno has averaged 140 on the same scale over the last eight weeks, well above any single viral moment.
What it means
AI music is now part of the conversation, and people want to know how it stacks up. Anyone who wants to make the TikTok version of a track can do it in one step with a sped up song maker. The mashup nobody has made yet is a few clicks away with an AI song remixer.
Method
- Google search interest, worldwide, web search, weekly, past 5 years. Two five-term queries; the second was rescaled to the first using "ai drake", which appears in both.
- Moment labels are from widely reported events matched to the peak week.
- "Weeks to half" = weeks after the peak until the index first falls to half the peak.
