Worldwide Google interest in each Eurovision winner since 2004 shows how short the glow is. For 18 of 19 winners, May of their winning year is still their all-time high. One month later, the typical winner has dropped to 20% of that peak. Måneskin (2021) is the clear exception: three months after winning they were still at 49% of their peak, when the typical winner was down to about 10%. Loreen is the other outlier: her second win in 2023 beat her 2012 peak.

What it means
Music travels, but language still shapes what people go looking for. If you have a hook of your own, an AI song generator can turn it into a full track with vocals in a few minutes. For a soundtrack to your own day, an AI music generator can score it to whatever mood you need.
Method
- Google search interest, worldwide (all countries), web search, monthly. Each term was queried on its own, so every line is scaled 0–100 to its own peak month. These are shapes, not sizes: they show how each fad rose and faded, not which was bigger. Note: these lines are winners' names, scaled to each winner's own peak.
- Window Jan 2004–Sep 2026. Winner's month = May of the winning year (every final since 2004 has been in May). "+12 months" is the next May, when the winner returns to hand over the trophy, which explains the small bump.
- Excluded: Nemo (2024), whose name overlaps with "Finding Nemo"; 2020 had no contest. 2023 winner Loreen is the same person as 2012, so her row shows the later peak.
