Rap beef is a spectator sport, and Google keeps score. We put 16 famous diss tracks, from Ice Cube's "No Vaseline" to the 2024 Kendrick Lamar–Drake war, on one search-interest scale with "Not Like Us" as the anchor. Kendrick's track peaked in February 2025, the month of his Super Bowl halftime show. The next-highest peak, Machine Gun Kelly's "Rap Devil" (Sept 2018), reached only 47% of that level, followed by Drake's "Back to Back" at 44%. "Not Like Us" also leads lasting demand at about 45,200 US searches a month (title plus lyrics). Nearly 30 years on, 2Pac's "Hit 'Em Up" is second at 22,900, ahead of every other diss from the Kendrick–Drake feud. Kendrick's "Meet the Grahams" (13,500) out-searches Drake's replies "Family Matters" (6,500) and "Push Ups" (1,300).

What it means

Viral formats reward speed and a sound people already know. For a friendly roast of your own, a diss track generator gets the first bars down fast. Anyone with bars of their own can hear them over a beat with a rap generator.

Method

  • Search interest: Google search interest, US, Jan 2004–Oct 2026, monthly.
    • Four 5-keyword batches, each including "not like us" as the anchor. "Not Like Us" peaked at 100 in every batch, so the batches share one scale.
  • Volumes: Google search volume (US, 12-month average, Oct 2025–Sep 2026) for title-plus-artist and "lyrics" queries.
